The Conquest

I started a conquest in spring for the perfect skinny butter brown belt, much like the one Ms. Bilson is wearing..only butter-y-er. I searched the usual suspects..banana. j.crew. and then old navy. forever 21. etc etc.-no dice. By that point I don't think I even knew why I wanted it, I just had to find one to prove that my demand would create supply-it works like that in my world. On my trip home to Austin, I found the. perfect. belt. at buffalo exchange. And whaddya know..it was originally from J. Crew.-only i spent $12.00 because it was second-hand. I win. I conquered.

Summer is pools, sun, and live music.

And I' m not doing too shabby thus far.
USANA has saved my life this summer with having a decent concert series..with three of my favorite men:

-Twilight Concert Series-FREE-Every Thursday until August 28th-saw Josh Ritter and Andrew Bird last night-It was so Austin, so blissful, so wonderful-the best thing Salt Lake has ever done

-Ernie Halter-Logan-July 25th-we'll see about the two hour drive

-Bonnie Raitt-Red Butte Gardens-August 25th

-G.Love and Tristan Prettyman-Red Butte Gardens-September 11th

"If I could be any celebrity family, I would be Gwen Stefani's."...I said it, and Whit wholeheartedly agreed. I creepily can't wait to see what they name their second. Kingston is already a fashion plate in his own right, so the second is destined to be a precious little L.A.M.B inspiration too.

Call me Crazy

Not only are TOMS shoes giving thousands upon thousands of shoes to needy kids around the world through their buy a pair, donate a pair program (such a genius concept), they are also providing me silver glitter shoes for my inner hipster. I saw these at Whole Foods and I wanted to purchase them oh so bad. I figure no one can make fun of my footwear if they are for a good cause. Oh, and if any of you would get on the baby train, I would most definitely buy these...

Tuesday Music

I love me some John Mayer. He seems like a chill guy that just wants to play his guitar, but he happens to be UNBELIEVABLE..and date Jennifer Aniston, but that's besides the point. This CD is so good you won't know what to do with yourself. I'm a sucker for acoustic anything, so the first five songs are personal favorites-namely In your Atmosphere and his sweet cover of free fallin'. Nineteen songs total-each goes on forever and ever because it's live-and I got it from Target for twelve bucks. And by I got it I mean Care got it for me because she loves me/wants me to shut up-not sure which one takes precedence. Anyway, buy this, love this, read his blog and someone come with me to USANA to see him on July 21st or I'll be forced to be a creepy alone groupie girl.
